VBSY commences for rural areas, IEC van set to reach 74 wards of Sgr

Srinagar, Dec 15 (KNO): As Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) programme was kick-started for urban areas from Friday, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Athar Aamir Khan on Friday said that will ensure the target of creating awareness regarding different schemes and benefits among the people. Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Athar Aamir Khan said the VBSY programme was kick-started from Sher-e-Kashmir Park today and different events are set to be held in all the 74 wards of SMC in the next 10-15 days. He added during the period, IEC Van will reach every part of Srinagar through all the wards. “We have already come up with a detailed programme in this regard as well,” he said. “The basic motive behind the programme is to make people aware about the schemes launched by both the government including Centre as well as J&K administration with an aim to strengthen the families of eligible beneficiaries,” he said. Pertinently, the government has launched a programme— Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra to make people aware of different schemes and bring governance at their doorsteps. The people through this initiative were able to avail the welfare schemes including include Ayushman Bharat, PMJAY, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission, PM Awas Yojana (Rural), PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Vishwakarma, PM Kisan Saman, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), PM Poshan Abhiyan, Har Ghar Jal-Jal Jeevan Mission, Survey of villages and mapping with improvised technology in village areas (SVAMITVA), Jan Dhan Yojana, Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, PM PRANAM, Nano Fertilizer among others—(KNO)
